We can't tell if the DNC had anything to do with the pause in the
planet's cyber-rotation, or if it didn't pause at all, but we were
just too disillusioned (read: disenfranchised; read: distraught;
read: high) to see it passing. It seemed like all the blogging
stopped, like everyone was too busy watching The Daily Show or
ignoring fear-inducing media taunts to write. No idea.
Anyways, whether it's a celebration of a new beginning, a
prophetic ending, or just an excuse to get drunk and celebrate cewebrity, there's something
tonight:
------
Please join us in welcoming Jen (Daily
Refill) Carlson and Jessica (The
Blueprint) Coen to their new digs on the Lower East Side next
Tuesday, August 3. Naturally we will welcome them by drinking
ourselves into a stupor. Oh, and paying for their ugly old gay drinks.
My co-hostess, Lockhart Steele, has secured the rooftop of The
Dating
(168 Delancey Street, just east of Clinton) for our party
pleasure, from 8pm to 10pm, or whenever the first person falls over
the parapet. gay Relaxed attire.

We don't know these people (well, not the people throwing the
party, anyways), and we certainly weren't invited, per se, but, you
know, forwards and all.
